Evenin all.. new here but feel I need to share my story as the original indication to my problem was found here.
I had a Jag xf sport diesel 275.. 92k on the clock.. fully jag dealer serviced .. serviced at 87k by jag for its 96k service...
At 92ish it decided to throw a crank bearing.. total engine right off and taken possibly 2 turbo with it...
Apparently and issue with fueling and the dpf..
The more you read the more you see that this is a common issue on the 12-16 engines but Jag wiÄşl not own upto it..
14k to have a new engine in... And denying all knowledge that there's an issue with this engine..
I've read 11 different posts of crank shaft issue now.. all on xfs between 2012 and 2015.
If you own one please be aware that it could pop its clogs at anytime ...
Very disappointed ex jag owner...
Back to BMW for me...

Sorry to read that. There are some crankshaft bearing issues on the V6 Diesels, but not too many so far in XFs, mainly in LRs and RRs. And in any marque, sometimes things just break.

But the costs to rectify these issues is ridiculous.

JLR have a recall in Korea for just this.

Better luck with your next car.
